Spring Clean
NIGEL:
Well I did the Spring cleaning yesterday. Removed all of the old straw & poop & in with a thin layer of straw, leaving the droppings pits straw-less. Yep we now are back in a cold spell!! Oh well.
Used the old straw to cover & fertilize some newly planted grass seed in the field. Hopefully lush hardy grass will appear soon. Also brush cut the nasty wild roses & other weeds in the field so I can begin to finish off the fence... then the chooks will have another place to play & we can get goats!!! Can't wait!
